poor cody
doctors again yesterday and his ear is on the mend, still not 100% but much better but his throat is a mess haha never ending so on wednesday last week when he was at the dcotors it was sliglthy red but now its quite infected.....so how does he get a bad throat infection when hes on antibotics????? Im guessing at some point there bodies get immune to the meds???? I don't know im not a doctor just a guess....so back again once hes finished meds to make sure its all cleared up, another ear infection then its a letter sent to the speicalist to take a look at him as the last ear infection took a month to go away and then he had just over a week i think it was with being fine and now he has another mild ear infection and throat infection me and my neighbour think they should knock him out take out his tonsilles, grommets in his ears, and unblock the tear duct in his eye all at once haha what are the chances of that happening.....

He definitely sounds like a candidate for grommets. I know exactly what it is like to deal with resistance to the antibiotics, that's just what happened with Tyler. Because he had recurrent urinary tract infections as a baby, he was on preventative antibiotics for 3 months. That meant the bugs causing his ear infections as a toddler were resistant to the normal antibiotics they used. It was partly the reason grommets were recommended (and also because of the number of infections he was getting, and the fluid that never drained away). It really did change things for him, health-wise. I'm really glad we went ahead with it.
Hopefully Cody's GP will give you some good recommendations for how to deal with things, and whether he ends up having surgery or not, I hope it all settles down. It can't be fun for him, poor fella.
yeah I would push for grommets... you dont want to muck around when the ears affect hearing and then speech... poor little guy
