now on tuesday we travelled to tauranga for grandad's 80th birthday, cody was awake the whole time (its bout a 2 hour drive from our place to tauranga) mum went down the day before hand and stayed with her brother and our dad took us all down in a van, me, jacqueline and cody, ali and her boys steven and liam and our brother phillip and his partner chelsey and phillip's daughter lucy so we were all packed in and it was a good trip down but on the way home it was sooooooooooooo hot it just wasn't funny, i did sleep for bout 1 hour on and off on the way home i know cody had a sleep but im not sure how long for as i was sleeping lol....then wednesday morning he slept till 9:30 and then thursday morning he slept till 9:45 which was bliss, i so needed it as i get up when he wakes up and not a minute before hand...anyway back to the 80th it was a lovely day after the rain in the morning,we had lunch and then back to uncle peters place for tea coffee whatever it is people drink lol (better not put old people I might get told off by the family hehe) I only drink hot drinks in the winter and itsalways cup of soup or drinking chocolate. okay so this isn't a quite update i keep getting side tracked sorry...below is a photo of grandad with some of his grandchildren, we have christopher then ali then grandad then me and then phillip, now spot the twins lol look we even stand the same and hold our hands the same lol
and this one is grandad with all his grandchildren that were there that day, he also has david and matthew but they are overseas so couldnt' make it so there is christopher blue top catitlin in red/white dress then henry and lia in the yellow top and ali grandad me and phillip in the back....but not only does he have 10 grandchildren (there is also tony my older brother who passed away 4 years ago) but he also have 6 lovely great grandchildren...
now courtney isn't here but there is steven, liam, lucy and jacqueline holding the growing boy cody hehe.....

hehe i always get my photos backwards this was cody and jacqueline in the morning at our place before we left, cody looked so smart in his jeans and shoes lol
ive been scrapbooking and this is codys last photo of him with his bear for his first year so now i will just take a photo of him and his bear each year on his birthday
and finally did these photos i just had to do them, and add it to his album of the pram tyres ready for replacement they were so worn....
so we didnt' manage to get all the eggs of the swan plant before they hatched and this is one of the caterpillars that got to be hehe, man its soo big and they grow so fast we have 3 of them, jacqueline has named them hannah milliey and i can't remember the 3rd one....gee i wonder what singer she likes haha
so we now have a 3rd gate but this one was only $42 from the warehouse, cody just loves it though he can see outside better and spent a good 1/2 hour by it when i first put it up, if you click on the photo it will enlarge and you can see his cheeky grin hehe just don't look at the bad hair day haha he so needs another hair cut, next weeks mission
ribbons anyone, hehe im so loving ribbons at the moment for my scrapbooking and cards, the last two big piles mum got me for xmas, yummy yummy ribbons hehe i need to paint my continer i have for them all now.
well i will leave it at that for now as its late and i need to fold washing and might do thefirst coat of paint on this container now that i have thought about it lol nite all hope the new year is treating you all goodPS WE NO LONGER HAVE THOSE LOVELY YELLOW FLOWERS BY THE SLIDING DOOR(YES I KNOW THEY ARE WEEDS LOL) I HAD TO PULL THEM OUT AS CODY WAS DOING THE TASTE TEST ON THEM LOL BOYS

OMG - you get to sleep in until 9.45!!! Rich and I are sooo green with envy. Today we got to sleep in until 6.15 as it was raining so hard we couldn't hear the kids (but we couldn't sleep as the rain was loud!!). Cody doesn't have a hairdrier Tanya - it's a ray gun!! Alex uses my hairdrier as a raygun too. Oh and our two chew succulents all the time by reaching thru the gates, they haven't died or chucked yet, so they can't be too bad
yes great sleep in - lucky you... as for those family shots..hated them as a child- love them now as an adult!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hee hee good excuse to do a bit of weeding then! Lovely that you got a couple of catch up sleep in's - life is always much brighter when you aren't exhausted.
